Slovenia is a small country in the south central Europe near Adriatic Sea. Its neighbours are Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia. Slovenia has about 2 million people.
Despite Slovenia is small it is a very diverse country where you can see a lot of different interesting places like caves, mountains, waterfalls, lakes, springs, old town centres, castles, etc. In the following text I will suggest you just some of the most interesting sights to see in Slovenia.
Lake Bled is one of the most visited tourist spots in Slovenia. It’s like fairy-tale place with an island on the lake and castle above the rocky wall with mountains behind. It is nice to walk around the Lake Bled, to take some boat ride or walk up to
the castle and enjoy in a view of the lake and its surroundings.
Lake Bohinj is bigger than Lake Bled and it is on the border of Triglav National Park. It is the only National Park in Slovenia. Places around Lake Bohinj are hiking paradise so go there if you enjoy in nature and hiking. You can try also other sports like rowing, swimming, jogging, rafting, canyoning, etc. I suggest you to visit Savica Waterfall at the end of Bohinj valley or take an excited cable car ride to Vogel. There you can enjoy in a beautiful view of Julian Alps and Lake Bohinj.
